FAFSA
|
For many students planning to attend college or career school, financial aid is essential. Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. Many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own aid. After submission, you’ll receive your Student Aid Report.
A variety of financial aid sources are available to help you pay for college or career school. Financial aid can come from federal, state, school, and private sources to help you pay for college or career school. Examples of various types of financial aid are: grants, scholarships, work-study programs, loans, aid for military families and aid for international studies.
It is encouraged that every student planning to attend college fills out a FAFSA form. It is the first step in receiving financial aid. Talk to the financial aid offices at the specific schools you where you have submitted applications to determine if additional forms should be filled out for scholarships and grants.
